How much do garments say about the society we live in, the social, economic and political background we belong to, our behaviours and what we aspire to? How much does the representation of a certain social cliché say on this same society? What can we take out of the confrontation on the same plan of two very different social clichés?
What would come out of the confontation of the imagery building the stereotypical figure of a 16th century British king and of a 20th century femme fatale? For example?...
Through the making of moodboards, image associations, sketches, material samples, patterns, and shapes, this project explores the notions of sexuality, power, and clothing, as a way to question gender-based power dynamics in society and open new possible narratives for the future.
